Family
I became an Ontario documentary photographer the moment I had children. As they continued to change everyday, I so wished I could slow things down – for their hands to be that small for just a little longer. The way photographs are able to pause time, allowing you to revisit a memory from the past and all that comes with it, is why I do what I do – it’s why most photographers do what they do. Whether it’s the young love you have for your partner while it’s just the two of you, or it’s the experiences you’re creating for your children, life’s about finding beauty in the present, because the present will soon be the past and these moments will soon become distant memories.
Sometimes, two hours is all you need to be seen.
Not seen in a surface way—but truly noticed. For the energy you bring. For the way your family fits together. For the quiet glances and soft rituals that make up your days.
These shorter sessions are still rooted in slowness. We won’t rush. There’s space to breathe, to settle, to show up without performing.
There’s room for honesty.
We can stay close to home or wander somewhere familiar. What matters is that it feels like you.
If you’ve been longing to have your life reflected back with gentleness and care—but aren’t quite ready to commit to a longer session—this is a beautiful place to begin.
Come as you are. There’s room for you here.

A few hours of your day, held with tenderness.
This session is an invitation to pause—not necessarily in stillness, but in reverence. To let a portion of your day be witnessed and reflected back.
It’s long enough to settle in. Long enough to breathe. Long enough to forget that a camera is even there.
We might spend it in your home or move outdoors when the light feels soft. The details are yours to shape.
What matters most is that it feels true.
This is for those who want to document more than a snapshot, but don’t need the full arc of a day. It’s a chance to see the fullness of your life through new eyes. Not with an agenda or a script—but with gentleness, attention, and time.
This is a space to be yourself. And that is more than enough.

The invitation is simple: spend a day together, and I’ll be there.
Not to direct, not to rearrange, not to make a spectacle of your life—but to witness it. To quietly hold space while you move through the day in the way you always do. Morning light through the window. The way you gather at the table. The full moments and the in-between.
This kind of session is less about documenting an event, and more about reflecting your rhythm. The way love moves through your home, even when no one is performing it.
There’s time here. Time to settle in, to let the nervous energy fade. Time for your children to stop noticing me. Time for things to unfold naturally.
This is the kind of session that honours everything—the small breakdowns, the loud joy, the quiet stillness.
It’s not curated or polished. It’s simply the truth of how your family lives and loves today.
This is a mirror, not a production. This is your life, held with care.

Some things deserve to be held.
A leather wrapped album is for the moments you don’t want to scroll past. Made with soft, torn-edge pages and Japanese binding, it feels less like a product and more like an heirloom. Every detail is quiet and intentional—just like the life we documented together.
This isn’t a traditional album. It’s a book you’ll want to reach for on slow afternoons, one your children might open with reverence someday. It doesn’t ask for perfection—it simply holds what’s true.
Available as an add-on to any session, this album is your invitation to hold your photographs in your hands—and return to them again and again.
There’s a certain kind of magic in film—the way it slows everything down, the way it breathes warmth into an image. It’s textured, imperfect in all the right ways, and full of soul. Film doesn't rush. It waits for the light. It invites presence.
If you're drawn to the quiet nostalgia of grain, to photographs that feel like they were pulled from memory itself—you can add more rolls of film to any session. Or choose to have your entire session photographed on film only. No digital, just the raw and tangible beauty of analog.
This is for those who want to feel time stretch a little. For those who want photographs that feel like something you’d find in a box decades from now, and hold close to your chest.
A long form session is a session that takes place over an extended period of time. Typically documented in your home, or maybe it's on a beach, or while your family is camping.
The benefit of a long form session is there is time for anything and everything you want to document, to be documented.
It is slow paced and truly is a documentary of your life told through still photographs.
There is space for all aspects of life to unfold. There is no rush to create a highlight reel of images. It is just life, as it naturally occurs.
Anything you want to! I do not have a specific approach to family sessions or a list of things that you should be doing.
I encourage your family to choose activities that you usually do together and invites every member to be present with one another.
You can also plan to have me there to document an activity you really cherish, maybe that's putting up your Christmas tree or at an extended family hang out..
The goal is to document your family naturally as you usually are together. Not just in your highlight reel moments. Yes there will be beautiful moments documented but there will also be mundane moments and raw emotions. There is no need to shy away from having all aspects of your life created in to photographs for you to later look back on and remember how REAL life was.
With a documentary approach, time is my friend.
The more time we have together, the more relaxed everyone gets and this translates into more accurate images of you and your family members' unique personalities.
But sometimes certain family members might be ready to tap out after only 1 or 1.5 hours of our potential 2 hours together.
The 2 hours is a max. If all the time isn't utilized, it does not change the price.
Take a journey through the real stories of families and couples i have recently documented
