I use both 35mm and 120mm film cameras to bring warmth, texture, and a sense of nostalgia to your photographs, offering something digital simply cannot replicate. Each frame requires thought and care, resulting in images that feel more like heirlooms than snapshots.
The grain, soft tones, and rich details of film evoke a timeless quality that resonates deeply, turning everyday moments into something extraordinary. I’ve spent 39 years navigating the beauty and chaos of life, always observing, often quiet, yet deeply immersed in the world around me. As an introvert, I find solace in the stillness—those quiet mornings where the sun gently wakes the day. My world has always been one of connection over perfection, of real over the curated.
I’m a mother of two, and each day I watch them live so authentically, reminding me of the pure, unfiltered joy that exists in the present. I’ve spent too much time chasing the perfect image, the flawless life society said I should have, only to realize that it was never real. It was in those quiet, messy moments, the unplanned laughter, the unexpected tears, that life truly happened.
Now, at 39, I choose to live and document life as it is—raw, imperfect, yet profoundly beautiful. I’m passionate about capturing these genuine moments not just for myself, but for others who might also be caught in the same struggle I was. Because when I look back at the photos of my life, I see the story of a woman who finally chose to be present. I don’t want you to wait as long as I did to see the beauty in your own real moments. I don't walk into your session with a vision of how the session will look. I don't preplan poses, or directions. I sit back and observe and follow your lead. I allow you and your family's uniqueness be the guide for what will be documented.
what does client led / co creating mean?
Storytelling style of photography is exactly what it sounds like. Think of a movie and how a director has a vision for the storyline he is creating. A photographer may ask you about your life and create a loose storyline you will follow during a session, as if you are playing the role of yourself in this production.
Documentary photography is different in how the photographer will attend a session and observe the world around them and document it just as it is, with little to no interference in the flow. Think more of a documentary film that follows the life of someone. There is raw footage of REAL moments, emotions and life.
Storytelling tends to be a highlight reel of curated moments vs a documentary approach encompasses ALL emotions and ALL moments. Even the ones we perceive as negative or mundane.
what is the difference between documentary and storytelling styles of photography?
When you google the definition of documentary photography these are a few things that comes up,
- any photos that attempt to record the world as it is.
